Recipe Of Resolve

Poem:

There may come a time

when hope seems lost

In the thickets of failure

and cold frustration,

When the gloom of dejection

enshrouds us most

As we lapse into torpor

and sequestration;

When freedom seems not

what it really should be

And solid resolve starts

melting like snow,

And the world seems empty

of love once free,

As the spirit once gushing

stops to flow.

Fear not the menacing

shadows that creep.

These may sooner

or later recede

When the seeds we sow

we must finally reap

And failures no longer

obstruct and impede.

It doesn’t matter

the time it takes;

It matters most when we

start to withdraw

Into doldrums of failure

that eventually make

The spirit detach from

its erstwhile core.
