Nature’s Heart And Soul

Poem

Listen to sweet Nature’s heartbeat,
Watch the baring of its Soul!
In the wilderness and forests
And the deserts and the valleys;
In the fields and in the meadows
And the pasture-lands and grasslands;
In the Everglades and woodlands
And the gardens and the orchards;
In the parks and on the camp grounds
And along the sandy beaches;
In the swiftness of the rapids
And the rushing springs and cascades;
In the motion of the ocean
Coming in to lap the beaches;
In the grandeur of the canyons
And the majesty of mountains;
In the trees and on the tree tops
And the sounds of rustling leaves;
In the chorus of the songbirds
And the cooing of the pigeons;
In the twittering of the sparrows
And the night owl’s ululation;
In the fury of the windstorms
And the balminess of breezes;
In the massing of the rain clouds
And the mighty claps of thunder;
In the drizzles and the showers
And the blossoming of flowers;
In the dawning and the sunrise
And the sunset and the gloaming.
Listen to sweet Nature’s heartbeat,
Watch the baring of her Soul!
