Religion

Poem:

What keeps evil at bay

is best for man,

As best as he could use

a workable plan —

A plan for justice,

hope and love,

Drawn up by those

well-spoken of.

What’s good for a soul

is good for life,

Rooted in suffering,

constant strife;

It behooved man

to establish a sense

Of assuring himself

a means of defense.

Consider the chaos

without any vision,

Prompting the need

to establish religion,

Extending from merely

a workable plan

To entities formed

in the interest of man.
