MOUNTAIN TOPS

Poem:

Melting snows renew themselves
On mountain tops so high
That they gather fast and solid
Beneath an angry sky.

So do souls brave, unafraid
Of life’s winds that blow,
Standing permanent and firm,
Gathering like the snow.

Lagging spirits may rejoin
Life’s great marathon,
With eyes open to the sun
Past life’s break of daw

Let new hope, love and desire
Blend in spite of strife,
Forming snows of sweet success
On mountain tops of life
