If You Think You Are Beaten

Poem:

If you think you are beaten,
you are not,
Persistence is what
you require,
Remember, success in any form,
Is attainment
not for hire.

If you think your work
is exhausted —
You efforts futile
and fruitless,
Remember, the tree
that is yielding
Should be well-maintained
no less!

Those that are
amply succeeding
Are those that
keep on trying,
Refusing to throw in
the towel,
Unbent, persistent,
defying!

Success is not
for plucking
But can be gotten
by those
Whose motto is:
try, try again
With efforts that
do not repose!
